Day time yawning & Sleep Apnea

Question
I was extremely sleepy during the day at work. I went to my Fibromyalgia doctor and he sent me to a sleep study. I was diagnosed with osa and put on cpap. However, the level of pressure was so low (6), that the sleep tech said she had never given one out that low. Eight months later, no improvements, no changes in my sleepiness. Then I was put on Provigil, which did not help at all. I yawn all day long, it actually hurts to yawn. It is not a fulfilled yawn and gives me no relief. It literally makes me sick. I have so many symptoms of other things that my doctor just doesn't know what to do with me. Have you heard about Adrenal Fatigue? Could that be my problem, and not sleep apnea. I am off the CPAP of my own choosing.

Answer
First of all you should use the cpap machine. also you could be suffering from narcolepsy, which is the uncontrollable urge to fall asleep at inappropriate times. also if provigil dont work, there are other meds such as adderall, ritalin or dexedrine.   If you cant get anywhere with your md you might consider switching to another sleep center. go to sleepnet.com click on disorders narcolepsy, feel free to email again karel
