Do i have a sleep disorder

Question
Hi i was wondering if you could help me pin point my problem. For the past couple of months i've been finding that i'm tired most of the time. I get the recommeded 8 hours of sleep a night, some night even more. But i find i'm still tired. I usally go to bed between 9:30 pm-10pm and i wake up at 6 am mon-fri (weekend i sleep in). I do wake up during the night and look at the clock but i fall back asleep quickly and even early in the morning when my fiance wakes up i'll wake up to his alarm.  I'm now at the point were i'm sleeping with ear plugs to make sure no noise will wake me. I'm just tired alot. Could i have some kind of disorder? i went to a doctor and they did blood test but nothing came up abnormal. please help

Answer
If you have been tested for thyroid problems, and anemia, and all is normal and your daytime alertness is being affected you could have narcolepsy.  Narcolepsy is the uncontrollable urge to fall asleep at the wrong times , or some just are so sleep during the day.  You would need to consult a sleep specialist your local hospital can refer you.  Go to narcolepsy network, sleepnet.com click on disorders narcolepsy, feel free to email again karel
