Question
OOoopss... Where to start? Since I was 10, I always got trouble to rise and shine. I thought as I grew older that would change, but not. I am 39 now, and... since I was a kid, became a black Coffee lover (these days, 3-4 cups between 7 and 12 hrs.), a heavey smoker (Marlboro regular) and also Coke drinker (at least 500 ml. daily). Food it is not a weakness, and I love Beer but moderate, I can say I am overweight but not critical (1.73 Mt., 92 Kg.). Finally, I love late TV or Internet, I can go to bed by 12 hrs. but I fall sleep about 1 AM everynight. In the mornings if I don?t have a cup of coffee first, better nobody talk to me!
One word: I can?t get up well, sharp: Suggestions? Some kind of tea maybe? Some prescription? Please, don?t tell me to quit coffee or smokes! Tanx and God bless.
Answer
First of all please understand im not a physician, however i do suffer from narcolepsy totally opposite of insomnia. The following things if taken 2-3 hours before bed will give you insomnia.because they disrupt deep sleep and you will not awaken as sharp.unfortunately they are all the things you do,coke, and coffee not the cigarettes.you dont have to cut them out just dont take them as stated above those times. Now one other possibility if you are overweight and snore at night you could have sleep apnea which would make you awaken up not being sharp.also tea in the morning as a pick me up is a lot better.try tea instead if you can in the morn sometimes it picks you up better.also dont exercise 2-3 hours before bed and no chocolate, all these things can give you insomnia and not give you a restful sleep which in turn you awaken not sharp.you may find if you cut the times out that you have the coffee you may even fall asleep earlier.if this does not help,i strongly suggest you go to a sleep center or tell your physician .i do hope this helps, feel free to write again.good luck, karel
