Whimpering

Question
I've been at college for about two weeks now, and my roommate just told me that I've woken her up four times already from my "whimpering". I wouldn't think too much about it, but my friends have all told me that i make weird noises in my sleep, too. Not like snoring, but whimpering and moaning like I'm in pain. I'm not quite sure what to do.

Answer
If they dont see you twitch or anything and you are not snoring i wouldnt worry about it.  3 hours before bedtime stay away from chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, caramel colored soda like coke, pepsi, exercise all this make for restless sleep.  30 min before bedtime take a hot bath and l5 minutes before bedtime drink a glass of plain warm milk. Milk when heated contains tryptophan a natural amino acid sleep inducer so a drink may do the trick, if all this fails you may consider seeing a sleep center, your local hospital can refer you. but as long as it isnt snoring ,it also could be sinuses try sleeping on 2 pillows. feel free to email again karel
