Question
hello... I am having problems with sleeping, I sleep a lot and this is causing me problems at the university... I put more than one alarm and a lot of time I turn it off without knowing that I did, on vacations when I sleep without having anything to do or nothing that serious I could sleep more han 12 hours even if I went to bed early... I am asking now even though I had this problem along time ago because I am so desperate that I was concidering of getting sick of insomnia, but after more than one try of staying awake which did not work in the end(I ended up sleeping at 7:00 am, and because I read lots of bad things about it... what should I do... note I drink a lot of coffey, and lately I have been drinking alochoholic stuffs...
Regards
Youssef
Answer
first of all i suggest you stay away from alcohol, coffee or chocolate after 7pm at night.it could be that trying to stay awake thru the day is giving you poor sleep at night.also put the alarm in the room away from the bed so you have to get up yo turn it off and try to go to sleep the same time each night.if this persist after 2 weeks i suggest you ask your md to refer you to a sleep center.also the psychology department at your university may know of a place. best of luck and feel free to email any time.
