Question
i feel tired every day and i dont know why. i think its possible i have sleep apnea. i get about 8 hours of sleep a night and even on weekends ill get around 11 hours and ill still be tired during the day.
its probably not a sleeping disorder so what is it that is making me tired everyday? i know you cant really tell me from this little bit of info so ask me any questions you need to to help.
thanks
Answer
first of all sleep apnea is usually caused due to being overweight, also the person snores at night and wakes up choking because while he is snoring he periodically stops breathing for a few seconds .that making him tired during the day.also there is a sleeping disorder called narcolepsy, which is what i have, which is the uncontrollable urge to fall asleep at inappropriate times, watching tv,reading a book, listening to a lecturer. However usually the first thing i would do is get a complete physical including blood work up.you could possible be anemic or have thyroid trouble ,there are a million reasons for just tiredness, but firstly one should get a complete physical to rule out the easier problems, then is the tiredness persists have your doctor refer you to a sleep center for a sleep evaluation to see if you have a sleeping disorder but first get blood and urine tests done.you may just simply be anemic, also if you take any meds, alert your doctor about your tiredness as it could be a seide effect from the medications, good luck, feel free to write again, karel
